Teaching Aids Multimedia, radio-tape Teaching Procedures Step I Class Opening (1 minutes) Greeting T: Good morning, class! How are you today? Ss: Good morning, Ms.Guo! Fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. [设计思路:使用亲切、贴近生活的问候语言拉近师生关系,带学生自然进入英语氛围。] Step II Review(5 minutes) The teacher shows some exercises on the PPT. Students do the exercises and check the answers together. Step III New Concepts (22 minutes) New words Read and recite. Learning aims Let students know about the aims Lead-in Free talk: T: This lesson is about an English teacher from Canada. She teaches English in China. Do you know the differences between Chinese and Canadian schools? Ss: Students move from classroom to classroom for their lessons in Canada, but teachers move from classroom to classroom for their lessons in China. (The teacher presents the pictures to help students to answer the questions.) 2. Listen to the test T: Ask the students to listen to the tape and try to finish Exercise 1 on Page 45. S: Listen to the tape and try to finish Exercise 1 on Page 45. 3. Read and translate the text T: Ask the students to read and translate the text in pairs or small groups. Do the exercises on PPT 4.Language points T: After reading, let’s study four language points in this lesson. She is teaching English in China. teach 作动词,意为“教;讲授”,其过去式是taught。常见用法有: teach sb. sth. 表示“教某人某事” 如:Miss Li teaches us painting. teach sb. (how) to do sth. 表示“教某人(如何)做某事”。 如:George taught him how to ride a horse. (2)I was quite nervous then. Now I feel quite comfortable and relaxed. quite 作副词,意为“非常;十分”,与形容词或副词连用。 (3)be helpful to 对…….有帮助 e.g: My teacher is very helpful to me. (4) move from…..to…..从……搬到/移动…… e.g: They move from classroom to classroom. e.g: They have class from Monday to Friday. Step III Practice The teacher show the exercise on the PPT Students do the exercises and check with the help of the teacher. Step IV Class Closing Let’s see our homework for today.
