Unit 7 Enioy Your Hobby Lesson 49 Hobbies Are Fun!教学设计 新课程标准的三维教学观,具体到英语学科中就是要整合发展学生的语言、语言、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识,培养学生综合运用语言的能力。基于此,我将个部分进行即教材分析、。 一、教材分析 1、教材的地位和作用 49课为本单元的第一课,分课文和project两个部分。课文部分通过Danny到商店购物,猜测Danny的爱好,从而引出了本单元的教学重点——即对爱好的谈论。而这也为接下来的project起到了铺垫作用。其标题为Hobbies Are Fun! 让学生在学习中体会hobby的乐趣。 2、教学目标 英语教学大纲规定,通过听说读写的训练,使学生获得英语基础知识和为交际初步运用英语的能力,了解西方国家的文化背景,激发学生的学习兴趣,为进一步学习打好基础。依据上述规定,确立本课教学目标如下: 1)语言知识目标: A、掌握本课四会单词(hobby, guess, sell, wall); B、理解其他单词(frame, instruction; roll); C、运用重点词汇及短语(enjoy, buy, sell, take, a roll of)。 2)语言技能目标: A、听的技能:理解并掌握课文对话中关于hobby的一些信息; B、读的技能:学生能运用恰当的词语较为正确的表达自己的爱好; C、说的技能:通过阅读了解加拿大人的爱好。 D、写的技能:把自己的hobby用简单的英文写出来。 3)情感态度目标: A、在学习中,敢于用英语表达自己的看法; B、乐于接触并了解异国文化。 4)学习策略目标:进一步增强学生自主学习的意识和探究实践的勇气。 5)文化意识目标:了解中西方人在爱好上的差异。 3、重点与难点 根据教学大纲的要求,及本课在教材中所处的地位、作用和学生在口、笔头表达上的薄弱,确定本课教学重点难点如下: 重点:掌握本课重点词汇及句式; 难点:能在口头及书面上描述自己的爱好。 二、学情分析 八年级的学生应该已经初步具备了听说读写的能力,但我们仍不容忽视八年级学生分化的特点,尤其是考虑学生口、笔头表达中的薄弱,在教学方法的选取中要尽量考虑不同层次学生的能力水平,多给予鼓励,增强其自信心。 三、教学方法 1、教法:为了顺利完成上述教学目标,突出重点,突破难点,依据新课程理念及学生的认知规律,本课采取①情境教学法,让学生在身临其境中体验学习;②任务教学法,让学生在做中学,在学中练;③开放式教学法,以学生为主体,以课堂为依托,超越课堂,领略更广阔的知识。 2、学法:本课将尽量体现新课程标准中提倡的“自主、合作、探究”理念。授之以鱼,莫如授之以渔。以学生为主体,兼顾全体学生。让他们充满自信地参与课堂活动,团结合作,学会思考,学会讨论,学会倾听,学会评价,学会探究。 四、教学手段 本课主要采用情景教学法,同时辅助多媒体教学。用图片展示使抽象的语言及文化背景变得直观,为学生运用英语进行交际创设真实情景,实现师生互动,生生互动和人机互动的多向交流。 五、教学程序 根据学生的认知规律、本课的教学目标,我从学生的兴趣入手,注重英语教学的情景性。本节课我以带领学生去参加加拿大的“Hobby Show”为背景事先让学生把他们业余爱好的成果(如绘画、集邮、剪纸、手工等)带到学校来,,把教室布置成为一个“Hobby Show”的会场,展开一系列的教学活动,设计教学程序如下: 1)导入 (2’) 告诉学生:Today we’ll go to Canada to take part in an important activity. 并让他们猜测What is it? 学生可能说不知道,也可能回答五花八门,这时我将出示一则字谜,让学生猜测。以字谜的形式导入本课的中心话题“Hobby”。 Hi, I am a new word for you. I have six letters. The first letter is in the word "half" but not in "wolf". The second letter is in "boat" but not in "bath". The third and the fourth letters are the same. They are in "bank" but not in "kangaroo". The last letter is before "z" in the alphabet(字母表). Can you guess what I am? 待学生猜出后,出示本课课题:Lesson 49 Hobbies Are Fun! 并告诉他们:The important activity is the Hobby Show. [ 设计说明 ] Well begun is half done. 良好的开端是成功的一半,教学情境化的设计会让学生有身临其境之感。字谜的设置打破常规,更能激发学生的兴趣。 2)解题 (2’) 引出课题后,随即向学生提问:“What's a hobby?”并让其进行小组讨论。 学生发言后,教师总结:A hobby is something you enjoy doing. A hobby is not a job or a school subject. It's not something you need to do. It's just something you like to do . It's a great joy. [ 设计说明 ] 八年级学生已经具备组织语言的能力,本环节让学生自由讨论,自主探究,体现了学生主体性。 3)话题背景探究 (4’) Hobbies are very important to a person. Without having any hobby, life won't be as colorful as it should be. And different countries have different hobbies. Now let’s read a passage named “The Hobby Show in Canada” 让学生快速阅读这篇名为“The Hobby Show in Canada”的文章。并提出问题:What hobbies do you know in Canada from the passage? The Hobby Show in Canada In 1979, the first Hobby Show was held. This year, the Hobby Show was held at the International Centre in Toronto. It was the largest hobby and craft(艺术) exhibition(展览) in Canada. It had many new and exciting things about hobbies and crafts. This year's Hobby Show became even bigger. There were more than 200 different hobbies and crafts from all over the world, such as sewing(刺绣), drawing, model rockets, gardening, stamps, paper cut, pottery(陶瓷)and so on. It brought together manufacturers(厂商), distributors(发行人) and retailers(零售商) and also attracted(吸引) over 25,000 visitors from around the world. It was a chance for you to get together with people who liked the same things as you, talk about your ideas, and learn more about hobbies and crafts at the Hobby Show. If you wanted to look for a new hobby, you could choose one and learn how to get started. If you were already an enthusiast(狂热者), you could go and got some new ideas for your hobby. What a great way to develop new interests and have fun. Welcome to the Hobby Show, where you can share your hobby with others from many countries. (幻灯展示) [ 设计说明 ] 阅读是英语学习的有效手段,本篇阅读材料的选取,既能让学生初步感知中西方文化的差异,又能为接下来的情境教学起到铺陈作用。 4)头脑风暴 (2’) 告诉学生:Danny has invited us to take part in the Hobby Show in Canada with our hobbies. What hobbies will you take or what hobbies do you know? 根据课前准备,让他们尽可能多得说出不同的爱好,并尽量按中西方文化进行归类。然后出示一些图片。在观看过程中带领他们操练His / Her / Their hobby is …的句式。 [ 设计说明 ] 本环节主要是检查学生的预习情况。同时也是对学生词汇量积累情况的检查。能够激发学生对课外生词的学习兴趣。 5)生词教学 (5’) 告诉学生:Now we have been ready. Look, I have a new camera with me, but I can’t use it. So I can use the instructions to help me. And my friend sells film, so I bought some rolls of film. Oh, don’t forget to buy some frames so that we can put photos inside and put them passage on the wall . [ 设计说明 ] 利用情景和图片进行生词教学。为了使生词得以巩固并为下一环节的听力扫清障碍,让学生尽可能多的利用这些单词造句进行实际运用。 6)听力训练 (5’) 告诉学生:We have got to Canada. But where is Danny? He is in the shop to buy something for his hobby. Here is a listening text, let’s listen and find out something about him. 并设置听力问题如下: 1、Where does Danny go shopping for his hobby? 2、What would Danny like to buy? 3、What does he want to do with the photo frame? 4、What is Danny's hobby? [ 设计说明 ] 无论是为了应试还是为了交际,听力训练在英语学习中起着至关重要的作用。而把本课课文设置为听力材料,并充分利用活动手册,把练习一加以挑选作为听力的练习题,既处理了教材又练习了听力,一举两得。 7)课文研读 (4’) 核实答案后告诉学生:Danny has told us we need the special tickets to the Hobby Show. That’s making the same dialogue as the text with Danny. So let’s practice the text fluently. Please read aloud and find the questions you can’t understand. [ 设计说明 ] 朗读在英语学习同样起着重要作用。可以促进听说写。鉴于学生对课下课文朗读的作业大打折扣的现实,利用课上时间让学生跟读、朗读,点滴积累,事半功倍。 8)新课释疑 (4’) 教师:Who has questions? Let’s discuss. 教师对学生所提出问题的处理方式为:学生解答,教师适时点拨、总结。 [ 设计说明 ] 这是对于教材处理必不可少的环节。通过释疑,扫清学生学习的障碍。并且学生提问学生答的方式,既照顾了差生又给优生巩固知识及探究的机会。 9)调查探究(project) (6’) 告诉学生:I think everyone has got the ticket. Look, there are many hobbies here. Can you introduce them to us? And Danny told us we needed to make a list of our hobbies to give the organizer. So let’s make a survey. 学生选择,或采访或介绍。出示相关信息,给予帮助。 [ 设计说明 ] 本环节既是对教材中project的处理,也是从交际的角度为学生提供了空间。 10)交流分享 (6’) 教师:Good survey. Now who wants to show your survey to Danny or tell him about your hobby. 根据采访和谈论结果,抽取部分同学把采访内容向全班同学作以汇报。 [ 设计说明 ] 是对上一环节的总结,也是对学生学习能力的展示。 11)作业布置 (1’) 教师:Good work. But what a pity! It’s time to leave. Danny is interested in your hobbies. So he told you to write letters about your hobbies to him. And today’s homework is to finish the letter. [ 设计说明 ] 激烈讨论后,学生会想表述自己的爱好。于是我所布置的作业是给Danny写一封关于“My Hobby”的信。之所以把作业的布置置于本处,是为了保持课堂教学情景的完整性。 12)教学反馈与课堂总结(3’) 出示与本课知识点相关的练习题。最后让学生归纳本课重点。教师依据具体情况进行补充。 [ 设计说明 ] 素质教育理念下的教学同样为了应试。本环节把本课教学重点落到实处,为学生的应试打好基础。 教师结束语:( 1’) A hobby is like gold under the ground; no hobby will come to you unless you dig it out yourself. If you can treat study as one of your hobbies, learning will be more enjoyable. I hope all of you can find your own hobbies and also have fun from them. 在Lesson 52 A Moment Just for Me! 的歌曲中结束本课。 教学反思:本节课我充分利用了“情境”教学法。创设真实的语境,让学生置身其中,成为课堂的主体。多媒体手段的适当使用,为本课的进行起到了绿叶配红花的作用。从课文与知识点的难易程度看,本课相对简单,学生理解不会有太大的问题。而对于本课的难点,即在头口及书面上表述自己的爱好,因为有了一定的情境性,因此激发了学生的兴趣,使其有想表达的欲望。使本节课收到了预想的效果。
