Greetings: T: Good morning, class! Look at the pictures and describe what they are doing. ( Show the pictures, give the students 3 minutes to describe them in groups.) 2. show the tasks and aim of this lesson. 1) making suggestions and invitations and their answers. 2) imperative: let’s 3) listening and doing the exercises, try to understand the listening materials. 3. T: We are going to have a picnic this weekend. Do you like it? Let’s talk about it. What can we do when we have a picnic? S: We can eat, drink, play, read, sing and dance, and listen to music… T: What do we usually eat? Can you name some foods? What can we play? Can you name some games? If you know the food in English, that will be good. If not, tell me in Chinese and I will give you the English. ( show the pictures and new words of this lesson.) 4. listening 1. 1) Show the first group of pictures, give them some questions and them discuss in groups. T: Look at the first picture. What can you see in the picture? What are the students doing? Are they very happy? (Show the students’ answers in front of the others.) 2) listen to the dialogue and put the pictures in the correct order. (find 3 students speak out their answers, then tell them the right answer.) 3) listen to the tape again, and fill in the blanks. (find 3 students speak out their answers) 5. listening 2. 1) listen to the tape. T: listen to the dialogues and tell me what the two students are talking about. S: They are talking about going for a picnic. 2) listen and find out whether each of the following statement is true (T) or false (F). (find 3 students show their answers, then tell the right answer.) 3) Show the listening materials and fill in the blanks. 6. listening 3. 1) Listen and choose the right word in the brackets to complete the dialogue. (give the students 3 minutes to read the dialogue quickly, and try to guess what we should fill in the blanks and discuss with their partners.) 2) listen and choose. (find 3 students tell the others the answers) Show the true answers. 3) listen and repeat. 7. Look at the three listening materials and find out the sentences of making suggestions and invitations and the answers. (discuss in groups.) 8.
