Module 3 Change Unit 1 Changing our lives 1st Period 课型:新授 教学目标 Understand the connection between ideas by identifying linking words or phrases. Skim a text to obtain a general impression and the main ideas. 教学重点 1. Using connectives to link contrasting ideas. e.g. I’m good at a lot of subjects, but I’m poor at Maths. 2. Using connectives to express transition of meaning. e.g. Although we’re old, we still work in the fields every day. 3. Expressions and phrases: 1) What抯 the matter? = What抯 wrong (wiinth you)? 怎么了? 2) pocket money 零花钱 3) be good at 擅长于 4) be poor at 不擅长于 5) long ago = long, long ago 很久很久以前 6) live happily together 幸福地生活在一起 7) in a tiny, old hut 在一个破旧的小茅草屋里 8) one winter night 在一个冬天的夜晚 9) the Luck Fairy 幸运女神 10)give sb. a wish 满足某人一个愿望 11)smile at each other 相视而笑 12)work in the fields 在田里干活 13)earn very little money 挣不到钱 14)gold coins 金币 15)have enough food to eat 有足够的食物吃 16) since I was born 自从我出生以来 17)be different from 与…不同 18)Wish you happiness and health forever. 祝你们永远幸福、健康。 教学难点 连词although,中文词义“虽然”,不能与but同时使用。 e.g. 1). Although I’m not good at English, I’ll try my best. 2). Although we’re old, we still work in the fields every day. although 也可写作though。 典型错误:Although we’re poor, but we are healthy. 正确用法:Although we’re poor, we are healthy. 课前预习 Preview the new words 听力训练 Predict the likely development of a topic by recognizing key words, and making use of context and knowledge of the world. 2nd Period 教学目标 Read written language in meaningful chunks. 教学重点 1.
